Nature, Embodiment & Stress Management
One of the main reasons of stress nowadays is the disconnection that most people have from having a conscious relationship with their bodies. Our bodies and what we feel in them are the key to knowing when we have worked enough and need to rest, when our body needs a certain type of movement instead of another, it helps us connect healthily to our emotions and recognise what we really want and need in our relationships both personally and at work, etc. Another one of the most important things that comes with this body is human relationships; sharing this life experience with others in a healthy way is one of the most important factors to buffer the stress response.
I am a psychologist specialised in stress management and relaxation techniques, also a yoga teacher and a psychological astrologer. I have up to now been working privately with adults in psychotherapy and in life and spiritual coaching for more than twenty years. I would like now to use all my knowledge to help individuals and groups, encourage the connection to their bodies through psychological practices: relaxation techniques, stress management workshops, mindfulness meditation, and all activities that encourage the feeling that we are not alone in this world, that there is a community that is there for support; through yogic techniques: yoga classes, breathing techniques, different types of meditation, conscious living; I would also like to offer through different professionals and members of the community activities related to reaching the people with different types of dance and art activities, which greatly help people de-stress, express themselves creatively and establish human relationships. Also, workshops that include professionals giving massage or other alternative ways of helping people connect better to themselves. When this expands, an idea would be to have a small cafe where people can gather and the activities organised by the foundation are promoted, also having boards with the members and assistants so that they express regularly what their needs are and offer exchanges, etc.
